Meet Co-op Student Parez Kadir | Hamilton Artists Inc.

Hamilton Artists Inc. is pleased to welcome Parez Kadir, our winter co-op student from the Ontario College of Art and Design! Read on to learn more about Parez.

Hey everyone!

My name is Parez. I'm currently in my fourth year at OCAD University completing my BFA and doing my co-op placement here at Hamilton Artists Inc.. I'm a mixed media artist mostly working with oil paint and glitter—lots of glitter! Behind the rhinestones and sparkle lays reference to my Kurdish background and childhood. I also have a love for the digital side of art, but I mostly work with paint.

I'm super excited to be working at Hamilton Artists Inc.! Everyone here is super lovely and welcoming. I'm interested to learn what goes on behind the scenes at the gallery and of course all the beautiful work that comes through here. At the moment, Hamilton Artists Inc. is working with three McMaster students for the Ignition 8 exhibition; awarding excellence in the studio art program. It's been fun learning about the artists' work and the effort that it takes to be able to put on an exhibition.

I look forward to meeting any of you! And a thank you to Hamilton Artists Inc. for allowing me to explore the wonderful city of art that is Hamilton.
