Teal Booth: Happy Accident

Teal can be found absorbing inspiration in and around the community, creating “happy accidents” out of various acts of play.  She graduated from McMaster University this past April 2012 combining in Fine Art and Cultural Studies. Teal is a singer, songwriter, guitarist whose style ranges within the classification of experimental folk. She has shown art works and performed around the Hamilton James North area and surrounding parts of Southern Ontario, and also this one time in Alaska.  Teal has done a number of live painting sets where she works with spontaneity to create a painting of musicians or silk aerialists during a performance.  Through the mystery of quantum entanglement, she currently exists as two "Teals" and leads a double life in which she resides in Montréal and Hamilton, at exactly the same time. This artist has an alternate identity as an existential detective.

Steve Newberry: Nesting

Steve Newberry is an emerging artist based in Hamilton.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Fine Arts) degree from the University of Guelph.  He has traveled extensively and exhibited his work in Canada and Japan.  Comfortable working in both two-dimensional and three-dimensional media, his work often examines and questions society’s connection to the natural world.

Touching on diverse themes such as homemaking, the environment, and the natural vs. the human-made, Nesting explores the relationship between animal and human habitats.
