NIGHTWALKS WITH TEENAGERS
Saturday October 13, 2012
9:30PM – 12AM (Approx.)
Join us at 9:30PM in front of the Inc. (155 James Street North) for a late-night walk through cityscapes accompanied by young people from both Hamilton and Toronto.
This walk will last for approximately 2-3 hours, therefore comfortable clothing (weather appropriate) and shoes are highly recommended. Also don’t forget a water bottle, snack, as well as a flash light. Children are welcomed but must be accompanied by an adult.
The Torontonians are a group of 15-16 year old’s and form part of the Young Mammals, the youth wing of the research-art atelier Mammalian Diving Reflex (www.mammalian.ca or www.thetorontonians.blogspot.ca). They create performance, give lectures, shoot videos, start fights with drunk guys, take pics, sing songs and vomit in airports.
The Hamiltonians, including members of a local arts group that recently changed it’s name to NGen (New Generation), are a group of young people from the Beasley neighbourhood and across Hamilton whose interests are breakdancing, skateboarding and spoken word.
The Hamiltonians are brought together by Hamilton Artists Inc through facilitator Simon Orpana.
