Artwork Documentation Appointments
February 15-26, 2022

Need to document artworks, but don’t have the space? Hamilton Artists Inc. is making its James Gallery available as a free bookable space for artwork documentation. Artists working in any media are invited to use the space to set up and document their artworks. Factory Media Centre will provide lights and DSLR cameras free of charge to be used onsite. The Inc. will provide basic hardware and tools, such as nails, screws, hammers, levels, and drills. Artists are asked to bring their own SD cards or USB key.

Artists will be responsible for doing their own documentation, installation, and clean up, or they may bring a support person or photographer to assist them as required. Artists may also request support from Inc. staff in advance of their appointment time. Inc. staff can provide general assistance, but please note that they are not trained photographers.

Each appointment will be 3.5 hours in duration. Artists may book up to two back-to-back slots (one full day). Please use our calendly to view available times and sign up for your spot. For questions, please email Public Programs Coordinator, John Hill, at community@theinc.ca.

This opportunity is for members of the Inc. or FMC, you do not need to be a member of both organizations. We always welcome new or returning members. Click here to join or renew your Inc. membership.
