Collaborative Vessel Building

Join Cannon Gallery exhibiting artist Nicole Levaque during August Art Crawl on Friday, August 8th from 7-9pm in creating a collaborative clay vessel in our courtyard. Using reclaimed clay from the Art Gallery of Burlington clay studios, participants' hands will be traced in slabs of clay and added to a growing vessel, forming a collaborative sculpture. After the workshop, the vessel will be fired and will become both a part of the exhibition and Nicole’s future projects. Nicole builds her sculptures through a process of coiling and then pinching to create layered forms. Experience the meditative properties of rolling many coils, and the healing nature of clay explored through touch. Many hands make a whole! Drop in, no registration required.
