You woke up dreaming that things aren’t as awful as they’re seeming. Right now, your mind and body are still held by the earth. Didn’t you say you’d been here before? 'A Desperate Prayer (acrylic freeplay)' by Carmella Dolmer & 'Lightning' by Paul Seaton bring flashes of hope, ambition, and desire.
Carmella Dolmer (she/her) is an emerging multidisciplinary artist, writer, and programmer, with roots in both Hamilton, Canada, and Bicol, Philippines. She’s done grassroots programming in art-spaces big and small, and is co-director of Monday Press’ ‘Light Lounge Poetry Series’. She creates drawings, paintings, sculptures, and prose, but her main practice is centred around playing freely. @softerfruit / www.softerfruit.ca
Paul Seaton's work is informed by nicotine, sore feet, and veiled secrets. He thanks you for tuning in.
